i really don't think he can win.....aside from the fact that too much is expected of him...if he ever he wins, a lot of people will still be disappointed... it wont take just one single individual to change a system that is badly broken...

i salute the man for his integrity...but i just dont think he's the leader we need right now who can do what has to be done...

if Imelda dies, will Bongbong run for Presidency too?
I love Philippine Politics! soooo controversial.
Why not let Kris Aquino run for Vice President too, so that the whole Aquino family can be in office, because their mother died.

i think we should give the man a break! have we ever had any first-timer president who has had prior experience running the country? noynoy can always learn on the job and, with God's grace, the people's support and his determination to, at least, govern with integrity, he just might surpass our expectations and outdo all of the former presidents! he should learn to assert himself, though, and not be influenced by the "bad elements" in his team.

Bry... What is Noynoy really offering the country? I already have a last name and I don't want his.

its true it wont take just one individual to change a badly broken system, but who says we all would leave it to noynoy? And I think it's actually uncalled for people to think that he's using his mom's death to his advantage... when he never even thought to run for office in the 1st place...

It might be all too quick though.. but come to think of ... Read Moreit when will change ever come?? It absolutely won't change everything overnight... but the way I look at it is people see hope through him that things could change... and HOPE at this point is all we need. Hope is ten-fold better than Indifference.

I applaud the guy.

Paul Farol
Paul Farol
Carmela, good for you. But is HOPE enough? Did Noynoy tell us exactly how he is going to achieve whatever it is he says he will achieve? I hope he does so in the coming days.

I still go for MAR ROXAS.. but he's man enough to give way for NOYNOY just to gave respect to Aquino family. I salute him.. Hope NOYNOY will be heart-fully willing to be Pres. not because of the influence of all people pursuing him to RUN as President...

what kind of readiness do you actually want to see from a candidate aiming to lead the country? all his life, Noynoy sees politics. all his life, politics is what he sees. he served Tarlac as Congressman for 3 terms and we've not heard any news of wrong-doings.

the guy simply want to help achieve something for the country. one good thing about ... Read Morehim, he doesnt brag about the things he has done. and for sure, he knows that he needs to be very very careful in everything so as not to tarnish the good name of his parents.

No way, No how, No Noynoy.

That actually has a good ring to it does it? :p

Sorry, he is a good man i know, and as they say the fruit doesnt' fall far from the tree. but i wont vote for him. Remind me again what one significant bill he has authored in his three terms in Congress that directly affected taxpayers like us? ... Read More

Noynoy is not a 'trapo' and he is a better option than Villar, Erap, De Castro, Legarda and other presidentiables. If Noynoy is not the right peson for the position then who is? Erap again?! if Noynoy is not ready for the presidency then tell me who is ready? Do we have other options? Chiz Escudero will be a great competitor though. If some people ... Read Moredo not like Noynoy then it means they like the remaining presidentiables; Erap, Villar, De Castro, Legarda, Bayani Fernando and others. So pls. vote wisely!

statement made by EMBASSY:

Latest statement

(8:21 a.m., August 24)

SPOT.ph just received the Official Statement of Embassy Cuisine from co-owner and PR Tim Yap denying earlier reports that their bouncers connived to facilitate the escape of the suspect Kilikan Jimenez through their back door:

“An untoward incident involving certain patrons of EMBASSY CUISINE which occurred last 18 August 2009 is currently being investigated by officers of the Philippine National Police (PNP) – Taguig City.

Contrary to certain allegations which have been published and reported in media, the management of, and security personnel engaged by, Cuisine did not allow, assist in, facilitate nor condone the immediate departure from the premises of any of the parties involved in the incident. In the said incident, the management and security personnel of Cuisine faithfully observed and implemented the proper security procedure, immediately sought the assistance of the PNP officers assigned to the area, and promptly endorsed the matter and parties involved to the PNP officers for the taking of appropriate legal action. The management of Cuisine did not and will not tolerate the evasion by any party of legal liability, and is presently extending its full cooperation to the PNP-Taguig City in the latter’s investigation of the incident.

The management of Cuisine wishes to assure its patrons that it remains committed to providing them an entertainment venue where their safety and enjoyment are of the utmost importance.”
