Self-Stirring Electric Pot Posted: 23 Apr 2011 12:34 AM PDT Jamie Oliver, Wolfgang Puck and Emeril Lagasse – just some of the names your buddies won’t be associated with your style of cooking. Those chefs won’t forget to stir their pots so they don’t need the Self-Stirring Electric Pot. But you, our culinary-challenged reader, would enjoy the automatic spatula spinning at the bottom of the pot. You can set it to continuously move to displace bits of food and prevent them from sticking at the cookware, or periodically for other types of cuisine that require occasional stirring. The heat is adjustable from 200 to 375 degrees F and a glass lid lets you peek at your work. Hopefully something edible comes out of your foray into food prep. $100. Share This |

Midnight Shot NV-1 Night Vision Camera Posted: 22 Apr 2011 10:58 PM PDT A lot of things go on in the dark than what we realize. You wanna capture those drunken moments with friends outside the bar and into the alley but you feel that a camera’s flash is too much. With the Midnight Shot NV-1 camera however, things in the dark are suddenly put into the light. It only has five megapixels but its ability to see in extreme low light makes it worthwhile. The infrared filter lifts up and an IR flash illuminates the area of interest. Another great effect is when you use the camera’s night mode during the daytime. See things in a different light, literally, or even underneath specific clothing. But we’re not suggesting voyeurism in any way, shape or form, so don’t go blaming us if you get arrested. $140. Belkin Conserve Socket Posted: 22 Apr 2011 09:49 PM PDT Earth Day may have come and gone in your part of the planet. But what have you done to help our beloved place in the universe? If you can’t be bothered to unplug unused appliances like chargers, the Belkin Conserve Socket should come in handy. It has a built-in timer that shuts off power at 30 minutes, three hours and six hours. That may not mean much but think about the cellphone batteries you may be saving by not overcharging; or the pennies you may be pinching with the phantom power you’re cutting. After all, you can’t make a dollar without a penny right? $10. Share This |
