Task Force Pride (TFP) Philippines is a network of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) groups and individuals, as well as LGBT-friendly groups/individuals, that seeks to promote positive visibility for the LGBT community. Founded in 1999, it is the official organizing network of the annual Pride March.
Our Vision
- A society that recognizes and respects the diverse expressions of responsible sexuality, and the right of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders to a dignified life without discrimination and prejudice.
Our Mission
- To initiate and organize events that will create opportunities for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders to work together in an atmosphere of friendly cooperation.
- To educate Philippine society and raise its consciousness on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues and concerns.
- To promote visibility of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
- To work towards recognition of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender movement as a political force in Philippine society.
Our Goals
- To celebrate the annual Pride March for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders.
- To plan and coordinate the Pride celebration and to organize the annual lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Pride March.
- To invite lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender organizations and other supportive groups and institutions to participate in the Pride March and Pride Month.
- To encourage lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender organizations and supportive groups and institutions from all regions to organize events and activities for the Pride Month celebration.
Since 1999, LGBT and LGBT-supportive individuals and groups like Akbayan Party-list, Amnesty International Pilipinas, Ang Ladlad Party-list, Indigo Philippines, K2B Gay, Lesbian Advocates Philippines (LeAP!), Lesbian and Gay Legislative Advocacy Network (LAGABLAB) Philippines, Metropolitan Community Church Philippines, Order of St. Aelred – Gay Men Support Group, PinoyPride.org, Society of Transsexual Women of the Philippines (STRAP), Society of United Lesbians (SOUL), TLF SHARE Collective, UP Babaylan, WEDPRO, Womyn Supporting Womyn Center (WSWC), Rainbow Rights Project, WISE WOMEN, Lunduyan ng Sining, Boys' Legion - GABAY, Circle of Friends, One. Bacardi, Gay and Lesbian Activist Network for Gender Equality (GALANG), Philippine Forum on Sports, Culture, Sexuality and Human Rights (TEAM PILIPINAS), ReachOut Foundation International, Remedios AIDS Foundation, Action for Health Initiatives (ACHIEVE), Health Action Information Network (HAIN), Zone One Tondo Organization (ZOTO), INDIGO, LAKAMBINI, UP Sappho Society, Radar Pridewear, Bed Bar and Club Malate, The Library Comedy Bar & Restaurant, Unitarian Universalist Church of the Philippines, Freedom from Debt Coalition (FDC) Philippines, SANLAKAS, Partido ng Manggagawa (PM), Alliance of Progressive Labor (APL) and other social and gender justice organizations and groups have come together every year to organize and participate in the annual Manila Pride March.
