Do you have the balls to fight for your fate? Well, Matt Damon sure knows a thing or two on this kind of incident. This coming March 4, 2011, get ready to brace yourself in an upcoming spectacular movie called The Adjustment Bureau. It is a story about an ambitious politician, and a sexy ballerina who is trying to escape their undesirable fate.
After the brouhaha over the cover girl selection for Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue between the supermodel ‘frenemies’, Irina Shayk finally gets the nod. She was selected to be the face of the epic 2011 issue. I wouldn’t wanna be in the shoes of John Huey, editor-in-chief of the said mag because selecting between several beauties for the cover is next to impossible. You’d simply be overwhelmed by the choices – you might have to rely on a lucky dart shot on a list of names just to pick your winner.
Back then, you had to rely on the Windows screen saver password before for security from people trying to access your PC and your files while you’re away. That type of security however is like having a chihuahua for a guard dog. But now, you can protect yourself and your workstation by walking away from it. Sounds counterintuitive right? This new product from KSI Keyboards does just that. The SonarLoc ID Keyboard automatically locks your computer whenever you’re away from it. It has a proximity sensor that detects if you’re physically present. Step out and your PC goes into ‘lock’ mode, and can only be accessed with a proximity badge ID, your fingerprint and a password. Only a single user can be logged in so no chance for other people to rummage through your sensitive files. $TBD.
Celebrate President’s Day with another symbol of pure awesomeness. This Bald Eagle Remote Control toy flies majestically like its winged inspiration. It has a 9.5-foot wingspan – much bigger than the actual bird. Unlike the biological version, this one flies not with muscle power but with a motor hooked up to a gimbal with a propeller. Range is up to a hundred feet and the bird’s flight is controllable though it will last for only eight minutes. It’s not what you call cheap but sometimes, being patriotic means having to spend some of your hard-earned Benjamins to see this symbol of freedom take flight. $500.
If you want a fine-grade cabinet that doesn’t contradict or hugged all the attention on your office or room, then you’ll fall in love with the Hudson Credenza. It doesn’t boast any excess designs or reflects a striking color, but what the Hudson Credenza does have is a classic and natural appeal from its solid cherry, maple, or walnut finishes. One thing I love about the Hudson Credenza is the customizing option where you can choose what kind of material will be used on its main walls, base and knob. $1,600-$1,900.

Firearms and ammunition are scarce so strategy and utilizing tools to create makeshift weapons are needed for you to fight-off hordes of zombies on a thrilling melee battle. In the meantime, watch this cinematic trailer of Dead Island movie. $TBA.
Will it really be detrimental for a model to be compared to another big name like Adriana Lima? Catalina Otalvaro of Colombia doesn’t think so. She thinks it’s flattering and all but she’s not really focused on the comparisons. She’d rather concentrate on her career and her self-awareness. People can compare and complain all they want, but Catalina remains steadfast in her goals. I, on the other hand, remain glued to her photos.
Back in the day when photographers were hanging out with lots and lots of cool people, Dennis Hopper could still ‘out-cool’ them all. He had a camera pointed at him everywhere but this dude shoots back. Some of his shots were compiled in this new book, with a foreword from Tony Shafrazi and Walter Hopps. Dennis Hopper: Photographs 1961-1967 is an exploration into the mind of the man and the legends he captured on film. From Paul Newman to Tina Turner and even Martin Luther King. Go ahead and be inspired with Dennis Hopper’s shots, but don’t be disappointed if you don’t turn out nearly half as cool as him. $44.
Did video really kill the radio star? Not if you’re asking Archos. The company thinks that the two can really co-exist, even in this Internet generation. They’re releasing the Arnova Web TV and Radio to prove that. The device streams over 12,000 web radio programs worldwide and up to 1,500 Internet TV stations and podcasts. It has a 3.5-inch LCD screen flanked by a couple of 2-Watt stereo speakers. The goodies don’t stop there either as the Arnova has a programmable alarm, Wi-Fi and will read SD cards for your other videos. Pricing and availability aren’t clear at the moment but for radio and TV freaks, this is worth the wait. $TBA.
