Some of these jokers (Quikstar..Amway) have filed GC in EB2 and Eb3 which is illegal, someday states Like Arizona will declare that anyone looking like us should be checked for Amway membership and deported
Profiling is an issue and because of some jokers we all may have to go thru scrutiny.
We should ask USCIS to check all GC applicants name in Amway database and if found USCIS needs to send them to Mexico (because illegal)..
We should write to senators... your opinion on this? ( this way Indiancommunity can be clean and fight for legal hardworking people in immigration policy)

Already it happened for other workers category last month. In mid july THEY WILL STOP accepting 485s if they receive more than they could process.
I did not see any precedance for stopping I485 in the middle of months for past 10 years. If it happens that will be first time

One might ignore land-scams of Naidu and support him. One might ignore fodder scams of lalu and support him. One might ignore the bribery cases on tape of vajpayee's office and support him. Because they have positive changes to their credit. But how does one convince oneself to support the so called human standing on dead bodies waving a flag of development.
Dude we are considered the cream of the crop who think clearly. How can we hand over the reigns of future of our sons and the well being of our daughters to a person who supported the rape and murder to young girls and destroyed livelihoods of thousands.
Imagine our christian friends trying to convince the jewish friends that they support Hitler because he is development pushing leader who is also church going, non smoking and that they do not support the side which actually supports rape, incarceration and murder of thousands who scrap out their living in the country. I think unused other country quota is used for oversubscribed countries like India and china in the last quarter. If that is true then even removing country quota will not make much difference for Eb3. Now waiting time is 7 years. It will be 5 years for all the countries. When they remove country quota persons from countries like Europe may lose interest in applying gc as they may think is not worth for them to apply and wait 5 years or more as there is not much difference in lifestyle between US and Europe. I doubt US will remove country cap. But we never know as world changes fast nowadays.Anyhow country quota is not correct and it is similar to reservation in India. If reservation concept is correct then country quota is correct as every country in world get benefit.

I would argue that Indian consulting biggies saw that they could offer resources to clients at much cheaper rates than offered by American consulting companies. That drove down billing rates for everyone. Also one cannot deny the fact that persons who faked their resumes have contributed to the decline of the quality of talent pool. Don't get me wrong, bad apples existed and thrived in both big and small companies. But the occurences of such misdeed is/was more rampant in body shops. Some examples are the hiring of fresh grads & H4 & other unskilled workers and passing them off as "high skilled resource".
On the other hand if American consulting companies bill high rates to clients, they are at leat still paying decent wages to their employees. So wages stay at moderate levels. But what This whole tiered employement brought into play was that the actual employee was not getting paid too much but the client would still pay quite a bit, maybe not as much as what an American consulting company would bill. The wages of IT professionals went down.
Though this memo is reiterating the same rule again, they want to send a message that body shops are hurting the overall balance of the arrangement they had prior to when desi comapnies setup shops, and that they are keen on eliminating this source of imbalance.

Be honest, I don't know the real answers. You should find a lawyer to discuss this. I just share my thoughts. For your first question. I guess you should have no problem to enter Canada as long as your Maple card is still valid. However, I think when you renew your Maple card, you will have problem. For your second question. I think you can't re-apply PR as long as you still have the PR status. I think you may have to wait until your Maple card expires. I don't know the successful rate of re-applying PR. Enough point is one consideration, your intent to stay will be another consideration. I will be surprised if the immigration officer won't question you why you gave up the last PR status. You must prepare a good answer. Let me put in this way. Consider yourself is the immigration officer, will you question the applicant who gave up the status and re-applied again? Last advice. If you want to keep the PR, you should find a good lawyer to discuss the possibility of explaining to Canadian immigration why you need more time to move to Canada.

DO NOT go through any of these agencies. they just put additional delays in your PR processing. I got my Canadian PR in 14 months without any professional help.
On an average, they will charge $3000 and cause an additional delay of 3-6 months in your case
And they are not 'PR Processing' companies. They just forward your application to the CIC.
Can you share with us the steps (or a link maybe) to file on our own.? I have heard of Maple a lot and most of my friends in the west coast are going through them. That's why I referred their name here. Note: I am not paid to market them and they are very expensive :(

If these numbers are to be believed, then EB2-I could advance till Dec 2005 with ease by Dec bulletin, though some stats for Feb & March 05 (regular labor) also needs to be analysed...

Hello,
This is the question for the attorney. I have been laid off and my company is going to revoke my I-140 within 30 days. My I-140 was approved in 2006 and I485 applied last July 2007. My questions are
1) what is the current trend if I1-40 is revoked . Does uscis send an RFE or NOID or a direct denial for I-485. How long does it take for revocation once employer submits. If I am not able to find a job before this happens will it impact my I485 application.
2) If I am able to find a job and transfer H1 to employer B before I-140 from company A is revoked and then if again I have to switch jobs to say employer C , can I get extension of H1 just based on pending I-485 even though underlying I-140 is revoked considering I am porting using AC21.
